Monday 29 Jan

hello all--k here- the boy is being very patient at the moment as his dad and I are both on a computer--actually he is pouting a little bc he lost num num (gum) priviledges (sp?) --he refused to stop shaking a mirror that was precariously hung on the wall -- his second big act of defiance--more to come I am quite sure-Now how to teach him "I'm sorry"???-AHHH... we are discovering that paretning is (as most of you know) more wonderful and more difficult than we imagined--but so far we continue to laugh most of the time and also contuinue to be amazed at how well Sam seems to adjusted- he speaks to everyone everywhere we go--he is eating well --although he sticks to a strict Adkins diet -- meat, fat, chewing gum and nuts --he sleeps well- plays with us and alone well- We discovered to Chips horror that he loves the Telly Tubbies...
Im sure Ive bores you all enoughfor one day--tomorrow we go to the orphanage for a Dr appointment, to demonstrate use of special equipment that weas donated, and to say goodbye.. I do not know if we will have an opportunity to blog tomorrow --Thank you --love, K

C&K, Never think you are boring us-we LOVE to hear of your experiences with Sam. It is a little heart-warming to know he is not totally perfect:) --since none of our kids were or are!!

Just catching up on your blogs after being away for the weekend. Thank you so much for posting! I love being there with you guys!

Will be praying about Chip's back, as well as paperwork completion in a timely manner. Just be thankful you don't have to stay in one place for 4 weeks!!!!

So glad to see that Sam is being defiant. :0 A very, very good sign. Shows he is comfortable and gaining in trust. This is such a good time for him to understand that mommy and daddy are his forever family before he's introduced to a boatload of strangers! Parenting is surely the most difficult and most joyous thing I've ever done! (Aside from knowing Jesus my Savior, and working on this sanctification thing, of course.... Parenting does a good job helping with the sanctification thing.)

K&C, So happy to hear all about your experiences. Routine is GOOD - even if it seems boring to the grownups. Will pray for C's back and a speedy, safe return home. - Martie S.

Your blog is never boring! It's the first thing I check when I get home every day, so I will miss it tomorrow. Good luck tomorrow. I hope that things go well as Sam says goodbye.

Dave says we can't wait to teach some of our family words....UhOh, LaLa, Tinky Winky, Po, big Hug. Tee hee hee, welcome to our world! The best part about Teletubbies is when the dog eats one. Yes, Abby ate Tinky Winky and his sound changed to "mer, mer, mer, mer, mer". Life doesn't really get good until the sound from a beloved toy starts to sound like a deranged animal hit by a car. Good times. love us.

Laura, you know that there is no sympathy or empathy among sisters raising children. At the moment your lovely niece or nephew gives your beloved sibling a hard time, you begin to remember things that transpired in your youth, and you smile. You then give said niece or nephew a really loud toy and chocholate. =) !!!!!!!!!!!!!
